From Blehs to Blessings

I can’t believe it’s already February. I’ve had a hard time getting my engine started this year and I’m disappointed with what little I’ve produced in the first month of 2017. I haven’t felt like doing much, whether it’s cleaning and organizing my house, making healthy dinners for my family, meeting up with people that I haven’t connected with in a while, or even writing this blog. But this has been a hard week for me and I need to write this post for myself, as a way for me to process and grieve and remember. So I apologize if this post seems self-serving but I do hope that some of you will still be blessed or at least come away with a greater understanding of something that is not often talked about in church. Continue reading “Hope Deferred”

Summertime

I love the summer. I know some parents cringe at the idea of having to entertain their children for two months straight and can’t wait till September rolls around again, but I prefer the slower, more-relaxed pace of summer. Continue reading “Summertime”
